Residents from Glenfield Woodlands enjoyed an outing to Bradgate Park in Leicestershire. Driving through the park enabled residents to watch the deer roaming free and visit the ruins of Bradgate House where Lady Jane Grey once lived.
A final stop was made at the Deer Barn for tea and cakes. Residents reminisced about visiting the park with loved ones in years gone by. They commented “I used to come here with my Husband and remember seeing a male stag, he was so close you could reach out and touch him” and “I used to come and walk my dog here”. Everyone agreed what an enjoyable afternoon it was.
