Gedling retro & April’s activities

Apr 3, 2026

April at Gedling Village Care Home is shaping up to be another vibrant and fun month, with residents enjoying a wide variety of activities and celebrations. The home is kicking things off with its traditional Easter Fair on 6th April, alongside plenty of creative sessions such as egg decorating, biscuit art, mindfulness colouring and flower arranging. Residents have also been taking part in music and movement classes, armchair exercise sessions, quizzes, bingo afternoons and themed events like the Mucky Duck Café and St Patrick’s Day celebrations. Special moments this month include birthdays, visits from the Goosey Ganders stay‑and‑play children, a meaningful coffee morning for Denim for Dementia, and even a visit from the Mayor of Gedling, who praised the home’s welcoming atmosphere and impressive dementia‑friendly Forget Me Not suite. Staff achievements are also being celebrated, with Ebony named Employee of the Month – Congratulations!

Overall, the home is full of energy, creativity and community spirit this April.
