Length of time at Hollybank:

In July 2023, I stepped into the role of registered manager at Hollybank. My most significant accomplishment to date has been realising my vision through the implementation of positive changes and structured improvements. These efforts have fostered a compassionate, trustworthy, and dependable home.

My Qualifications & Experience:

In 2018, I completed a Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship in Care Leadership and Management. With over 20 years in Health and Social Care, including 13 years in council care homes, I also have five years of experience as a physiotherapist.

My ethos as Hollybank’s Manager:

As a care home manager, I am deeply committed to providing quality and safe care, with residents at the center of our service. My passion lies in enriching residents’ daily lives with engaging, customized activities that honor their unique identities. I strive to empower residents, helping them maintain a sense of independence and ensuring they never feel disconnected from the world and community around them. Additionally, I place great importance on respecting the wishes of families, prioritizing the well-being of their loved ones in every decision I make. 

Fun fact about you:

At 26, taking my very first flight, I packed my bags, armed with four languages and fearless spirit and traveled 6,900 miles solo for a fresh start in England. It was like leaping off a cliff into a giant, thrilling adventure!
