My Qualifications:
I am currently working towards my level 5 diploma in health and social care. I have achieved level 3 and lots of in house training. I believe it is important to continually learn and develop within my role. I have also enrolled staff in extra training too as I feel this is important for staff to learn and develop within their role.
My ethos as Old Rectory’s Manager:
Being a manager I thrive on the many challenges that occur, as it gives me a great sense of achievement. I believe it is so important to always work as a team. Which I am so lucky to have such a great team working beside me. I am fair and supportive and will always offer guidance to staff. I love to watch staff achieve and become the best versions of themselves.
I feel it’s also so important to ensure our residents have happiness whilst living at the Old Rectory, by delivering high quality care and having their involvement on how they would like their home from being in involved in decision making about activities they would like or menus. I am passionate about residents having choice and being able to make their own decisions relating to their care!
I have a strong team that keeps things running day-to-day but as the care manager I provide the overall guidance and leadership. I am there to support my care staff in the successful delivery of care to all of our residents.
Biggest achievement in work and/or life:
My biggest achievement is having my first ever CQC inspection and achieving / maintaining a good! ( this year)
