I have been working at Spratslade House since 2003, which is 18 years now.
Qualifications & Experience:
I have completed my NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care. I also have gained my level 5 diploma in leadership for Health and Social care and Children and Young people’s (England) (Adults residential Management) (QCF)
My ethos as Spratslade House’s Manager:
My home continues to strive with delivering a high standard of care to all our Residents and we continue to maintain a good rappor with all multi professionals.
The Home continues to have low staff turnover and offers a selection of activities for all residents. The home continues to give 100% commitment to all employees and continues to encourage all staff with developing their skills and knowledge with training they require.
Biggest achievement whilst working at Spratslade House:
I enjoy the role as Manager as I love to ensure that we as a home continue to deliver good quality of care and I continue to build relationships with my staff/relatives/residents and multi professionals.
I enjoy my Job as I do learn new skills daily and continue to improve developing my knowledge and understanding.

Daily activities play an integral part in life at Spratslade House care home and whether socialising as part of a group or exploring a new personal interest, our dedicated Activities Coordinator works closely with our residents to organise a range of opportunities.
Musical performances, guest art sessions and local outings are just a few of the regular activities on offer. Mealtimes are an important part of the day and we work hard to provide a varied and nutritious menu for our residents, catering for special dietary needs as required.
We also have a wide range of services on offer including a hair salon, and a chiropodist, ensuring that however our residents wish to spend their time, they can do so in comfort. A local GP supervises the medical care given to our residents, although they can retain their own GP should they wish to do so.
Nothing is too much trouble for our highly skilled staff team and our flexible, personalised approach towards the care we provide ensures that a stay at Spratslade House care home is a unique experience.
