Care at our Homes
At Pearlcare we are passionate about providing high quality care and accommodation for older people with personalisation at the heart of what we do.
We appreciate that no two residents are the same, so our experienced teams ensure that each and every person receives care that is tailored to their unique needs, wishes and lifestyle.
Our homes are spacious and comfortable and they offer a warm and friendly welcome. We ensure the highest standards of care across our homes and we are committed to employing caring, dedicated and well-trained people.
Our senior management team consists of a clinical manager and regional managers, all of whom ensure that each home has the support and guidance to achieve a high standard of care provision. Upon appointment, our new staff members complete a thorough induction course and then continue their professional development during their career with us.
The care we provide centres around our ethos that ‘people should be treated as individuals’. This approach is highly effective and enables everyone to live with the dignity they deserve. We ensure that each resident is given the opportunity to live as independently as possible in a safe environment.
Our residents receive their own care plan, which is aimed at promoting good health and meeting personal preferences. We feel it is important to keep residents and family members involved in decision-making and we pride ourselves on working closely with relatives to ensure their wishes and choices are met as well.
Residents may choose to retain their own family GP or we can register residents with a new practice. Doctors from local practices visit our homes on a regular basis or by individual appointment. We can also make other medical appointments such as chiropodist visits, to ensure residents remain comfortable and well cared for.
Good health is closely associated with a healthy and nutritious diet and our on site chefs prepare a wide range of home cooked food using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily menu choices are available for residents. Many of our residents enjoy the social aspect of dining together, however meals may also be served in bedrooms if preferred.
Residential Care
Residential care offers elderly people support with everyday tasks such as; cleaning, washing and dressing, while promoting independence and person-centred care.
Our trained, dedicated carers offer around the clock care, support and companionship. Together with our residents and their loved ones, we create a bespoke electronic care plan for our residents health, well-being needs and emotional needs.
Moving into a Pearlcare home is a new chapter in our residents story and one that is filled with specialist support, companionship, delicious home-cooked meals, daily activities and mostly importantly, family.
Dementia Care
Dementia care offers specialist, round the clock care for those with complex cognitive support needs such as Dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and age-related memory loss, alongside long-term medical conditions or physical disabilities.
Our carers are dedicated to enriching their residents’ lives, delivering care with compassion and dignity. They are supported by external healthcare practitioners to ensure our residents receive the care they need.
Together with our residents and their loved ones, we create a bespoke electronic care plan for our residents health, well-being needs and emotional needs. We have dedicated Activities Co-ordinators in each or our homes, offering meaningful and beneficial activities such as reminiscence and sensory activities, for those with dementia.
“My mum was placed at Brantley Manor to help her after being diagnosed with dementia. All the staff and management do an excellent job in looking after the residents and the buildings. In only a few days me and my family saw a huge improvement in mums mood, the caring staff have been fantastic in encouraging her to come out of herself. “
