I have worked in health and social care for a number of years and I have been a Registered Care Manager for over 20 years. My qualifications include NVQ level 4, health and social care, Registered Manager, Professional trainers and Sterling dementia facilitators award to name a few.
My family are very important to me, I like to spend quality time with my holiday which includes going on lovely holidays. I like to have a good work/life balance, and enjoy letting my hair down at weekends!
My ethos as The Old Vicarage Manager:
Throughout my time as a manger, I have supported staff and people to receive positive outcomes and live meaningful lives to enhance their health and wellbeing. I am very passionate about providing good quality care to people who live at the Old Vicarage and strive to ensure people are happy and feel safe in the comfort of their home. I have a positive attitude towards my work, and lead by example. My ethos is to treat people with dignity, respect, promoting choice and control as much as possible to live a fulfilled life. e.g., ‘If it isn’t good enough for my mum, it isn’t good enough for those who live at the Old Vicarage’.
Biggest achievement in work and/or life:
One of my biggest achievements in my work life was to support a care home from Inadequate to a Good CQC rating, which included increasing the occupancy to the maximum within a 12-month period.
