Get to know Suzanne Yvonne Slaven our Care Home Manager here at Brantley Manor…
Length of time at Brantley Manor:
I began my career with Pearlcare as a Care Assistant and climbed the ladder stepping on each rung- Team Leader, Head of Care, Deputy and now Registered Manager. I have been in my post since April 2021.
Qualifications & Experience:
I have all my NVQ’s and completed my Level 5 Diploma in Adult Management January 2021
My ethos as Brantley Manor’s Manager:
I enjoy my job as it is my second home. I have seen care staff grow in confidence and maturity and like to give the younger generation the opportunity to fulfil their careers choices. Working at the same home for many years I have seen the positive changes and I strive to continue with these and help make Brantley Manor a home from home where there is a lot of fun and laughter.
Biggest achievements whilst working at Brantley Manor:
One of my valued achievement is my Vision and Values board which I take pride in, it is based around Jewels in Dementia and incorporates all staff and residents joined together. We also remember past residents and it becomes a talking point with staff, visitors and multi-disciplinary teams that have been coming here for many years.
