We encourage our residents to make as many personalised choices as possible to ensure that their stay with us is a pleasurable one.

From the moment a resident moves into one of our homes, we help them to settle in and relax in our comfortable surroundings and we encourage them to personalise their rooms to make them feel more like home.

All of our homes are spacious, yet homely and they offer a friendly welcome. We host welcome tea parties for our new residents to help them settle in, feel comfortable and make new friends.

Our communal areas are warm, comfortable and cheery places to spend time. We encourage our residents to take an active part in life at their home if they wish and we support residents who would like to pursue their own hobbies and interests. We do everything we can to ensure our residents can continue their favourite pastimes and this forms an important part of their care plan.

Our Activities

We are also very proud of our events and activities programmes, which run throughout our homes. We employ Activity Coordinators within each of our homes to ensure residents have the opportunity to enjoy a varied and active social programme.

These activities include coffee mornings, clothes parties, quizzes, outings, restaurant visits and Tai-Chi sessions. We always invite family members and friends to our social events and they are often popular occasions.

An extensive range of in-house entertainment is also available for our residents. This includes regular musical shows and guest art sessions. A number of our homes also have their own minibus service to take residents on regular outings and shopping trips so that they have a true variety of activities.

Food & Nutrition

Providing nutritional and delicious food is one of our top priorities throughout all of our homes. Each resident has their own electronic care package tailored to their needs, so we can ensure they get the foods they need to keep them fit and healthy. Each of our homes has a fully trained cook and kitchen team who prepare freshly cooked meals everyday.

Our residents are involved in creating seasonal & themed nutritional and fun menus, from Christmas Day dinner to Italian themed cuisine, valentines afternoon tea – we celebrate all occasions in our homes by getting creative with our food… and there’s always the smell of freshly baked goods for residents to enjoy daily.

Independence

At Pearlcare, promoting independence for our residents is at the centre of what we do. Our residents get to choose how they spend their days and can continue to do the things they enjoy, with the support of our staff.

Maintaining routines and a sense of purpose are vital to our residents wellbeing. Which is why we support your loved ones to live as independently as possible. Even with the little things, such as; helping with the washing up, if they like making their own cuppas or even taking part in organising & hosting activities for fellow residents!

We all have simply pleasures in life that we enjoy doing, so if our residents enjoy going down to their local pub every Friday evening for a drink or going into the shops on a Saturday, they can continue to do all the things they love and we will be there to support them.
