Lynnette Lea Named Great British Care Awards Finalist

Oct 7, 2026

Everyone at The Clough and across the Pearlcare family is celebrating after Deputy Home Manager Lynnette Lea was named a finalist in the North West region of the Great British Care Awards, in the Care Home Frontline Leaders Award category. Lynnette’s nomination recognises over 15 years of dedication, hard work and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of residents, their families and our colleagues.

While awards shine a spotlight on individuals, great care is never the work of one person alone. Every successful care home relies on a team of people working together, supporting one another and sharing the same commitment to delivering the very best care. However, strong teams are often inspired by individuals who consistently lead by example. When someone goes above and beyond, others notice. Acts of kindness, professionalism and dedication have a way of spreading throughout a team. One person raises the standard, colleagues follow suit, and before long a culture of excellence develops. In many ways, it becomes a self-fulfilling cycle where good practice inspires more good practice.

Lynnette’s recognition reflects exactly that kind of leadership. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for being approachable, supportive and willing to step in wherever needed. Her focus on teamwork, compassion and leading from the front helps create an environment where both residents and colleagues can thrive. As highlighted in her award nomination, Lynnette believes that care is about people first and understands that the smallest actions can often make the biggest difference.

Being shortlisted for a prestigious national award is a tremendous achievement, not just for Lynnette, but for The Clough as a whole. Recognition such as this is a positive reflection of the hard work taking place every day within our homes and across Pearlcare. It demonstrates the passion, professionalism and values that our teams bring to their roles and highlights the positive impact that quality care can have on the lives of residents.

At the same time, awards are never the reason we do what we do. The true measure of success is found in the everyday moments that matter most: helping residents feel safe, respected and valued, supporting families through important stages of life, and creating homes where people can live with dignity, happiness and independence. The nominations, recognition and accolades that follow are simply a by-product of getting those things right.

Lynnette’s achievement serves as a reminder of what can be accomplished when talented individuals inspire those around them and when teams come together with a shared purpose. Everyone at Pearlcare is incredibly proud of her success, and we wish her the very best of luck at the Great British Care Awards. Most importantly, we thank her, and all our dedicated colleagues, for continuing to make a positive difference to residents’ lives every single day.
