There was plenty of excitement, laughter and a few animal impressions on display when residents from Wellfield Care Home enjoyed a fantastic day out at the zoo alongside their lovely team of carers.
From the moment the group arrived, the adventure was in full swing. Residents spent the day exploring the zoo, meeting animals from around the world and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. There were moments of amazement, moments of curiosity and, of course, the important debate over who was the cheekiest resident and who was the cheekiest monkey!
The carers were on hand throughout the trip, helping all our beloved residents make the most of the experience while joining in with the fun themselves. Whether it was stopping for photos, sharing stories, or comparing hairstyles with some particularly fluffy animals, it was clear that everyone was having a wonderful time together.
Days like these are about so much more than seeing animals. They provide opportunities to create special memories, enjoy new experiences and spend quality time with friends. The trip was filled with smiles from start to finish, and residents returned home tired, happy and already talking about their favourite animals.

Their kindness, support and enthusiasm helped turn a simple day out into a truly memorable safari of smiles. While the residents may have come to see the animals, it’s safe to say the animals weren’t the only ones bringing joy that day!
