Our residents at the Laurels Care Home in Congleton have been enjoying the local Rickshaw. Here’s what they had to say about it…
“We have recently joined up with a community project called Beartown Rickshaw who volunteer to take care home residents out in our local area on their Rickshaw. This has proved to be incredibly popular with our residents at the Laurels enjoying the first few trips round Congleton.
We’ve been down to our local park and through the town centre. Doris who was accompanied by our activities coordinator Denice enjoyed reminiscing about her days in town and working in local shops which brought so much joy and happiness. Quoting at ‘the age of 91 she never thought she’d feel the wind through her hair like this again’.
We will be taking weekly rides out come rain or shine while reaping the benefits emotionally and socially by getting our residents back out in to the community ☺️”.
