We are delighted to share an exciting new addition to our Glenfield home – a recently installed media wall, designed to enhance daily life for our residents and create an even more engaging, stimulating environment.
The media wall has quickly become a central feature within the home, offering far more than just a large screen. Thoughtfully positioned within a communal area, it provides a shared space where residents can come together, relax, reminisce and enjoy meaningful moments throughout the day.

Supporting connection and engagement
One of the greatest benefits of the media wall is its ability to bring people together. Residents can enjoy classic films, favourite television programmes, music performances and themed afternoons that spark conversation and shared memories. From sing along sessions to watching much loved sporting events, the media wall encourages social interaction and helps strengthen friendships within the home.
For residents living with dementia, familiar images, music and videos can be particularly powerful.
A more inclusive experience for everyone
With a large, clear display and excellent sound quality, the media wall ensures that residents with visual or hearing impairments can comfortably take part. Group activities become more inclusive, allowing everyone to feel involved rather than observing from the sidelines.
The media wall also supports family visits, giving loved ones something to share and enjoy together – whether that’s watching a favourite film, looking at family photos or joining in with a group celebration.
Investing in quality of life
At the heart of everything we do at Pearl care, is our commitment to creating a warm, stimulating and person-centred environment. The installation of the media wall reflects our ongoing investment in meaningful experiences that enrich daily life, support wellbeing, and make our home a place where residents truly feel comfortable and valued.
