Glenfield Woodlands Achieves Top Food Hygiene Rating Again

Sep 14, 2026

Everyone at Glenfield Woodlands Residential Home is delighted to celebrate another fantastic success after receiving the highest possible rating of 5 following a recent inspection by the local authority’s Environmental Health team.

The unannounced inspection took place during lunchtime, allowing inspectors to see the home in action and observe the high standards maintained by the team each day. Following their visit, Glenfield Woodlands was once again awarded the coveted 5 rating, reflecting the home’s continued commitment to food safety, hygiene and resident wellbeing.

At Pearlcare, we believe in being transparent about inspection outcomes and continually striving to improve across all of our homes. During the inspection, Environmental Health officers noted some areas of décor that were becoming dated. The home’s management team was able to demonstrate that these matters had already been identified and discussed with the regional team, with plans already in place to carry out remedial work and refresh parts of the home’s environment.

Maintaining excellent standards is not simply about achieving good inspection results. It is about creating a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment where residents can enjoy nutritious meals, quality care and a homely atmosphere every day. The latest rating reflects the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the entire Glenfield Woodlands team.

Home Manager Sharon Illson was pleased with the result, which recognises the consistent efforts of staff to maintain high standards throughout the home.

While the team is proud of achieving another top rating, they remain focused on continuous improvement. Planned decoration and refurbishment works will help ensure the home’s surroundings continue to match the high standards already being delivered in care, hospitality and food hygiene.

Congratulations to everyone at Glenfield Woodlands on this excellent achievement and for their ongoing commitment to providing residents with a safe, comfortable and welcoming place to call home.
